Invisalign involves a series of customised clear aligners that sequentially straighten teeth. Compared to traditional braces, Invisalign is virtually invisible and removable, providing a more aesthetic treatment option.
Invisalign trays must be worn for 20-22 hours a day to ensure adequate tooth movements. Aligners are only removed for eating, brushing and flossing. The aligners are changed approximately every two weeks to move teeth into the desired position.
Invisalign treatment starts with a comprehensive consultation, assessing tooth positioning and mapping out a custom treatment plan. 3D software simulates each stage of Invisalign treatment, tracking tooth positioning and allows patients to preview their final result. More severe cases of orthodontics require referral to specialists for management.
If you are interested in Invisalign, please book a consultation appointment with Dr Rochelle Lim.
